We have some positions as an admin to the group! Right now I have ONE admin so new acceptance of pictures is a bit slow and we need some help! If you are interested, please read the next part carefully:

- You MUST be a member of the group.
- You MUST be active. I know life gets in the way some times but be willing to speak up when you're busy and let us know.
- Please don't apply thinking it's as simple as going through and hitting 'yes' on whatever. There are some in depth criteria for accepting work that I have for the admins to keep things running smoothly while still trying to make this group good for everyone!

If you wish to apply, please send a note to the group! Please include how active you are and maybe a short bit about why you want to be an admin. If you have experience running any sort of group or anything else you think we should know then please include it. You don't have to be worried or overly proper, we just want to get a feel for how you'll work out. If you're chosen you're also free to just take a trial run! If it's too much or not for you, then you aren't going to be in trouble if you tell us you want to go back to being a regular member.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask them in the comments below or to send a note to the group. Thank you!
Hey everyone! I have two big announcements today and just something smaller that you might be interested in.

First, I have opened 2 new folders: Adoptables and Tutorials.

Adoptables will be for you to place your sales of adoptables in or to look if you want an adoptable! We will still decline YCH (Your character here) content as those are still considered incomplete works. Sorry! We still won't accept those. However, if you're selling adoptables, please feel free to submit them to that folder!

Tutorials are something we will be a bit more selective about. It can focus on things like shading, digital or traditional art, techniques, anything really. We just want it to be neat and informative for anyone who views it. So, if you are looking for help in something, please look forward to things being added here. If you have a tutorial already or want to make one, please give it a shot!

The same 1 submission per day applies to each of these new folders. Also, remember there is no need to resubmit! The expiration for ALL folders is 1 month. You won't need to move anyhting you've previously had accepted but if you have submitted anything that fits these two folders and are still awaiting approval, you will be asked to resubmit. Please be patient while we sort this out!

Second, I don't know if anyone is interested but we can improve the group by making it a super group! This opens up some layout and other options for us! If you want to go to my page (Sakaiti) and donate toward that, please do. It's not a requirement, just something I thought some members might be interested in. I will not use the points for anything other than the group! (I can buy my own core memberships so no worries about me using it for that. Super Group is just really expensive for one person!)

Finally, I am opening up limited positions as an admin to the group! If you are interested, please read the next part carefully:

- You MUST be a member of the group.
- You MUST be active. I know life gets in the way some times but be willing to speak up when you're busy and let us know.
- This job is a lot of work! Please don't apply thinking it's as simple as going through and hitting 'yes' on whatever. There are some in depth criteria for accepting work that I have for the admins to keep things running smoothly while still trying to make this group good for everyone!

If you wish to apply, please send a note to the group! Please include how active you are and maybe a short bit about why you want to be an admin. FOLDER UPDATE
Fanart 5 is full and closed. If you have submitted something to it already that has not been accepted yet, please do NOT resubmit until my admins ask you to. This will streamline things and keep the log running smoothly! If you are submitting new works, please go ahead and submit to Fanart 6. Thank you!

I just wanted to bring this up since we've been slowed down by rule breaking submissions lately!

Things we do NOT accept
  • Comic pages
  • Heavily referenced/copied works
  • Colored/copied manga pages/copyrighted work
  • Art that you submit from a gallery that is not yours
    • This one is an automatic ban.

  • Overly messy/poor quality images (Especially on lined or graph paper)
  • WIPs

Since there has been a rise in the submission of many of these lately I wanted to remind everyone. These problems slow us down in accepting work to the gallery!

If you want more in depth info about the criteria of what we do not accept, please see the last journal titled "Why Am I Being Declined?" or send us a note or comment. If you have any other questions, the admins would be happy to help if you send the group a note.

If something you submit gets declined, take a look at some of the things we often see in our log that we don't accept. This is somewhat of a refresher of the rules and somewhat letting you know what sort of things we haven't listed in the rules since it makes it way too long to read.

NEW: Removed From Group
If you've been removed from the group it means you have repeatedly broken the rules to the point my co-founders have taken notice of you. Submitting to the wrong folder isn't going to get you kicked out. Accidentally double submitting something won't get you kicked out. I'm talking about submitting things against the rules over and over again (comic pages are a big one), even after we've declined it or submitting more of the same thing after we've declined it. I don't do it often because it's difficult to go through and find someone in the members to kick out, but I will do it if it's causing a back up in accepting the submissions of people who are following the rules.

If you submit someone else's work (as in, you go into someone else's gallery and submit their submissions to the group) I'm automatically removing you. It's against our rules and creates MORE work for the admins. If you submit something not from your own gallery, it's automatic removal from the group.

Declined member application
I, Sakaiti am the only one who can accept member requests. I look at every applicant's gallery and, if I see any of the following, I decline.
- No submissions in gallery
- Heavily referenced artwork (meaning you copy another picture by hand)
- Artwork that does not belong to you/breaks site rules (In this case, I also report you.)
- No submissions that we can accept (for example galleries of only comics, literature, or non-anime art)

Declined submission
The following is a more complete list of things we do not accept. I may update this from time to time. If you do NOT see a reason on here that fits your submission, feel free to note the group (with a link to the submission) or leave a comment on the submission process and myself or my admins will be happy to answer. We do make mistakes sometimes and are happy to accept resubmissions!

Common mistakes
These are things in the rules that people commonly get declined for.
- Heavily referenced work (I see this almost DAILY. Auto-decline)
- Colored lineart in SOME cases (If a colored lineart is declined, it is usually the fault of the LINE ARTIST, not you. Many line arts are traced vectors of other artwork with no permission or credit given.)
- Comic pages (Auto-decline. Please see the rules and anime-and-manga-art.deviantart… )
- Improper folder (If you submit to the wrong folder, you will usually be declined and asked to resubmit.
- Works in Progress (see rule #5)

Unspoken criteria
These are things that we admins look for that aren't exactly stated in the rules
- Sketch dumps (This sort of fits under WIP, but sometimes it's just a dump of finished artworks. In general, these are cluttered  and not any one completed work so we tend to decline them.)
- Lined paper (Phone or scanned photos of drawings on lined paper just don't look very good)
-We may also decline overly sketchy or unfinished looking drawings that we do not deem to be right for the group. It's rare, and hard to explain the criteria, but these submissions are usually discussed by all admins before the decision.
- Submissions not from the artist (If you find someone's art that you think should be in the group, do not invite it yourself. If the 'submitted by' name does not match the artist name we decline the submission. There are over 6,000 of you in the group already so only having member submissions helps us clear the log in a timely manner. Encourage the artist to join the group and add it themselves if they want.)
- Written submissions (If you'll notice, there's no folder for written submissions. So please do not submit them.)
-Duplicate submissions (If you submit something more than once, we will decline all the duplicates and get to the original in order we receive it with other submissions in the log)
- Non-anime submissions - There is some leeway and personal opinion of the admin here, but if you're submitting something non-anime drawn in a Western style, we will not accept. These are rare occurrences, usually Western animation drawn in it own style where it's blatantly not anime or manga.

Finally, please do not note the group about contests you're having, donations, adoptables, or anything else you would like for us to advertise for you. Feel free to note us if you have questions about the group or anything else that we can help you with. :)

Hey everyone!
(tl;dr at the bottom)

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we've slowed to a halt on accepting new submissions. >: Unfortunately, it seems all of my admins are busy or have stopped doing their jobs and I can't handle all of this on my own. So, I'm looking for new admins! However, I'm going to be very picky about it because I want to keep this group looking nice and running smoothly. So, please read below before you submit an application to become an admin! If you can't read all of this, I can't trust you to be a good admin, unfortunately. It's a bit more complicated than just going through and accepting things.

Please apply if:
- You have a lot of free time. I don't men just right now, I mean that you will be able to regularly log on and don't foresee a super busy schedule right now. It's normal for things to slow down during school, I understand, especially around exams... but you I'm looking for people who will not disappear for weeks at a time for these things and just ignore the group.
- You have been on DA for a while I'd prefer more than a few months. The reasoning for this is, the longer you've been on the site, the more likely you're committed to the site in the long run. I hope that makes sense. Older members are preferable too, but not a requirement.
- You are prepared for a pretty full inbox We have over 5,000 members and get more every day. It's a bit daunting for some people to see so many submissions in their inbox every time they log on.
- You are prepared to seriously enforce the rules and aren't afraid to ask for help I don't want to hire people who just want to go through and accept things to clear out the queue. The reason we're behind is because we get so many submissions against the rules and resubmissions by impatient people or even by accident. So, I need people who are actually going to look at the submissions and not just accept things to clear them out. Also, I want someone who isn't afraid to ask if they aren't sure something should be accepted or not. I've had admins who were too scared to ask and I've had to go through and clean out things that were in the wrong place or shouldn't have been accepted in the first place, further delaying the log for other people waiting.

If I haven't scared you off, please send an application in a NOTE to the GROUP, not to me or any of the other admins and not in a comment here or on the group page. Please include some info about your schedule, perhaps why you think you'd make a good admin, and anything else you think I should know about promoting you to admin.

Thank you VERY much in advance to everyone who read this and replies.

For everyone else:

TL;DR
We need new admins, please be patient since we're trying to get your stuff accepted and get back on track. If something expires, PLEASE resubmit it. Thank you. D: If it hasn't expired DO NOT RESUBMIT. You're just making the wait longer. ^^;

Also, please welcome our first new admin: Hey-its-Jess Still looking for more!
